About Evergreen Trout Unlimited

The Evergreen Chapter of Trout Unlimited is located in the Colorado foothills west of Denver. Our home stream is Bear Creek which flow from Mt. Evans to Denver.

Evergreen Trout Unlimited was chartered in March 1983

Our Mission Statement: The purpose of ETU is to conserve, protect and restore coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. The Chapter operates as a non-profit 501-c3, non-political and non-sectarian organization. The Chapter functions exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes.

Activities

  • Monthly meetings
    • Normally the third Wednesday of every month (see the calendar)
    • Featuring speakers on various flyfishing topics
  • Bi-annual cleanup of Bear Creek
  • Educational Activities
    • Flytying and fishing instruction at Mt. Evans outdoor lab
    • Flyfishing instruction at Camp Comfort
    • Fishing activities for kids in coordination with Colorado Parks/Wildlife
    • Kids' Flyfishing clinic at Buchanan Ponds
    • Booth at Evergreen Earth Day celebration
  • Monitoring of Bear Creek stream health
  • Fly tying clinics (usually annual)
  • Annual chapter picnic (June) and Christmas Party (early December)
