Evergreen Trout Unlimited is a community-driven chapter dedicated to conserving, protecting, and restoring coldwater fisheries and their watersheds in the Evergreen area and surrounding mountain communities. As part of the national Trout Unlimited organization, we bring together anglers, conservationists, scientists, and outdoor enthusiasts who share a common passion: ensuring our rivers and streams remain healthy, resilient, and full of life for generations to come.
Since our founding in March 1983, Evergreen TU has been actively involved in hands-on conservation projects, including stream restoration, riparian planting, erosion control, and habitat monitoring. By working directly in our local watersheds, we help trout populations thrive while also supporting the broader ecosystems that depend on clean, cold water.
Beyond conservation, education is at the heart of what we do. Our chapter runs programs for youth and adult anglers alike, teaching responsible fishing practices, habitat stewardship, and the science behind healthy watersheds. We also partner with local schools, agencies, and other organizations to foster a sense of community responsibility and environmental awareness.
Evergreen Trout Unlimited is more than just a conservation group—it’s a community. Whether you’re an experienced angler, a newcomer to fly fishing, or someone passionate about protecting our natural resources, we invite you to get involved. Through volunteering, attending events, and supporting our projects, you can make a meaningful impact on our local rivers, streams, and the fish that call them home.
Together, we are committed to preserving the beauty, health, and accessibility of our coldwater habitats, ensuring that Evergreen’s waters remain a place where trout flourish and the outdoors continue to inspire.
